Navigating Trauma Through Social Emotional Skills
Navigating Trauma Through Social-Emotional Skills is our #1 program and has allowed us to impact over 150 children and families positively. Our program is an excellent outlet for individuals to self-express and, in exchange, will reduce fear and anxiety. While we provide a healing space, we also teach skills on self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and healthy decision-making.

Community & Parks In Parts
Our goal is to support, clean, renovate and repair parks in low-income Clayton/Fulton County to ensure they are safe and suitable for children and to provide them with an outlet to express their emotions and exert physical energy. Our organization is cognizant of the fact that some parks in the metro Atlanta area are in dilapidating condition and unsuitable for playing, which prevents children from having a safe outlet.
Parks are important community facilities and are important as libraries, medical facilities and museums. We ensure to keep these facilities in good shape so as to improve the community through the following way
How our effort in making the parks safe and usable have improved the Community in the following ways
Improved Social interaction in Kids
While we strive to improve parks and encourage their participation and use of parks, our effort have helped build social interactions between kids. So many activities in the park requires a partner and with children pairing up for these activities their social interaction improves
Promoting Community wellness
Our effort to keep the parks safe and encourage families in the community to use it have help in building the cohesion of the participating neighborhood. Residents have been able to interact more and build the relationship needed to form the basis of a community.
Offering Family Bonding Sites
Our program have given opportunity for to come together and have fun through various planned activities. The activities performed in the parks have helped build cohesiveness and happiness in families.
In addition, public health measures implemented to contain the spread of Covid-19 have confined children at home and away from other children. This has encouraged sedentary behavior, boredom, and isolation from other children meaning it’s harder to learn how to build social relationships. Also, with children at home more than they were prior to COVID, cases of children experiencing abuse and neglect at home may be rising. Parks in parts program will encourage children to come out once again to use the parks while we keep them in a safe condition.

Dance With Agape Life Prevention Center
As part of our mission is to rebuild confidence in children, we decided to introduce dance as part of our effort in achieving this.
We organized a dance class for children that want to explore and learn various dance styles from a foundation in ballet while ensuring that these children develop a love for dance and accomplish their individual goals, we also ensure we use dance to foster children's intrapersonal and interpersonal SEL skills.

Our dance class has helped shape our children in the following ways
- Improving Interpersonal Skillset: Children who have been long neglected or abused always tend to be socially detached and lack basic interaction skills, the activities during the dance class have helped promote teamwork and cooperation which is a great opportunity for children to develop relationships and social interaction thereby gaining confidence to interact socially again.
- Improving Intrapersonal Skillset: Our children have been able to improve on their emotional competencies such as impulse control, self-perception, and emotional awareness when dancing.
- Improving their self Esteem: When our children master a new dance skill, their self-esteem increases, also, children who have lost confidence in themselves start gaining confidence when they start stepping on stage over and over to dance in front of others.
